Here is the Franciscan monastery located in Croatia and was designed by the architects Randic and Turato. The total surface of this building is about 1048 square meter and was constructed during 2008. This Franciscan monastery was reconstructed many times. But this time, architects have done a wonderful job. At the beginning of June 2003 Pope John Paul II had visited Croatia for the third time.
It was only after this visit that they decided to add a Great Hall building to the Complex. During the Pope’s visit he blessed the construction of the Monastery’s new building which was specially meant to serve the needs of the pilgrims and also house the cultural activities of the monastery. The Hall and the portico were well constructed. There is also space for confessions.
