Personalize your work space with a chalkboard

Contemporary office designs nowadays include chalkboards. They are a fun and practical element that seems to be more and more appreciated, not just in offices but also in homes as well. Here’s how you can add such an item in your office or workspace and how you can do it by yourself.

Obviously, you’ll need some chalkboard paint. You can find this in hardware stores. You’ll also need a ruler, masking tape and a paint brush. First you’ll need to measure the space you’ll be painting on and mark it with masking tape around the entire area. Then apply a coat of paint, let it dry and repeat the process. The goal is to apply 4 coats of paint. If you want it to dry faster do this in the sun.

Let the paint dry for about 48 hours. This is the hardest part. After it’s completely dry, carefully peel off the masking tape and you’ll get a perfectly square chalkboard ( or the shape that you decided to create). And now the fun part: buy some chalk and start writing. Now you can be more organized and have your own chalkboard. It’s relatively easy to make one and the best part is that you have the freedom to make exactly how you want it. It’s both fun and practical.{found on myturnstone}
