Paul Mayen Desk Lamp

The world around us evolves every single moment and we move on with new and new things created and discovered and invented on the way. But not everything that is old is bad and not all that is modern is good. For example this Paul Mayen Desk Lamp is still very much nice to look at and useful as it was back in 1958 when it was created. Its designer, Paul Mayen, did a great job by placing together clear glass with steel spun shade. The lamp looks like a giant mushroom with a white leg and a black top and is as modern now as it was thirty years ago.

It has a special base for supporting it and this base also stores the on/off button that allows you to control it. It is quite an interesting device and you can use it on your office desk, but also at home. It has a minimalist design, but looks equally nice on a modern desk and on a vintage one. This time simple is better and even though it is a bit old, it is the original stuff and also in perfect condition. So you can purchase it if you want it for $1,600 from Reform Gallery.
