Inflatable Concrete Building That Can Be Built In One Day

Everyone knows how to erect a tent. Even if you’ve never done it before, it’s still pretty easy. But this is no ordinary tent. In fact, it can’t even be called a tent. It’s a sort of hybrid, a building that’s inflatable but that, at the same time, is made of concrete. It doesn’t really sound realistic but it’s actually true.

This building can be erected in just a day and it’s not just one of those temporary tent-like structures that get blown away by the wind or that get damaged by the rain. This an actual durable building made of concrete. The idea behind the structure is actually very simple and very clever. The tent is made of cloth and this cloth contains concrete. So all you have to do is put up the cloth, get it wet and wait.

People have always been fascinated by optical illusions and the way the trick the eye. This has led to the attempt to incorporate this illusion in the design of artwork and furniture. Of course, it’s not easy to design something like that. But some designers have managed to create amazing pieces that quickly became popular thanks to their intriguing designs and shapes. These are some of the most impressive creations:

Shadow chair.

This is the Shadow chair, a piece of furniture with a very clear and suggestive name. in the case of this piece, the chair’s shadow becomes a part of the design and what seems to be a piece of furniture that lacks stability and support is actually just an optical illusion. It’s a great piece that would definitely attract the attention of your guests.

Replacing a bathroom suite is an expensive approach to take, when updating your washroom, and often causes lots of disruption whilst the works are in progress. However, you can get an entirely new feel to your bathroom’s décor a lot more easily by simply updating the basin and bath tub with new faucet fixtures.

Moreover, new fittings are a relatively cost effective way of getting a new look, without having to replace the suite and retiling as a result. If your current suite is in good condition, why not make the change this spring? You don’t have to throw away your old faucets and can use them again in the future. And, if you have a second bathroom, or an en-suite, you could make over both rooms by simply switching faucet sets. Bedrooms are typically a private retreat in a home, a space seen by relatively few people. How we choose to decorate our own bedrooms really illustrates our core decorating style. Old Barn Converted Into A Rustic Residence in England

There’s something about old barns that makes them very charming and this is one of the main reasons why we see so many barn conversions out there. The process is quite simple. You find an old, abandoned barn, you buy the property and then you get an architect to help with the transformation. If you’re lucky, the barn will become a home just as beautiful as this one.

This lovely residence is located in Pusey, Oxfordshire, England. It used to be a barn but then, in 2007, it was transformed into a home by The Anderson Orr Partnership. The exiting barn was an important element for the project but it wasn’t the only detail that the architects had to worry about. The barn was quite small and the client wanted the residence to be a little more spacious. So a problem appeared: how to add space to the residence without compromising the design of the barn?

Train.

I don’t know about you but I enjoy riding the train very much. I like that feeling of knowing the train is going very fast and yet I can just sit down and not move at all. It’s relaxing and peaceful. Maybe the owners of this strange home felt the same, who knows? What’s certain is that they chose something very odd to turn into a home: a train.
