Cedarvale Residence in Toronto Street by Taylor Smyth Architects

We love Taylor Smyth for creating those cantilevered kitchen countertops and even in this smallish package on the Toronto Street, the unit does not disappoint. We love the name as well and there is no doubt that the name is indeed well deserved. Taylor Smyth had to transform, enlarge and modernize a residential architecture on an established Toronto street.

The design is a true celebration of the coming together of the original design and the contemporary construction techniques. We will let the images doe the talking now.

Decorating Your Home’s Interior with Bold Colors

People have always desired unique houses. In the actual society, it is a habit for almost 90% of the people to try to make their house unique by improving certain aspects of it or just redecorating with something that most of the people do not have.

One of the cheapest ideas of modifying a house, in order to make it unique is the one related to home interior decorations with bold colors. Even you won’t see bold colors in the houses of the conservatory people, using these type of colors will definitely change the aspect of the interior of a house.

There are several things in a regular house that can be decorated with this type of colors. The biggest of them are of course the walls. Even if in a normal house bold colors like light orange, or dark blue can’t be seen so often on the walls, there are some modern ways to compile them with some sophisticated elements that will definitely change the aspect of the house. As an example, light orange walls can definitely suit the room of a teen as well as can add more light to the rooms where there are also accessories or furniture of complementary colors.

Even if bold colors can’t be used too much for the furniture – excepting the baby furniture – the accessories for the regular pieces of furniture can be bold. For example, orange pillows can suit very well a blue couch.

Effegibi Finnish Sauna Design Hates Being Utilitarian

We mostly know Finland for the famous cell phone brand Nokia which supports 70% of the country’s economy but what do the rest of the 30% people do. Well, a part of that minority percentage is brand Effegibi and this name is set to change the trend of utilitarian saunas. For this brand luxury is the key and that is what oozes from its latest offering-Sky Sauna Collection. The focal point of this design was to club function with fashion and the sauna is a clear example of the success of the blending scheme. The luxurious elements include combining cedar enclosures with glass ceilings.

The name sky is derivative for openness and the product definitely delivers that sense of openness. What is more is that it can be customized with laser-cut wooden panels.

House in the Mexican Woods is Inspirational

Living in the woods is challenging but also satisfying because of the serenity on offer. We never let a house in the woods go by and today we caught hold of a habitat located in Valle de Bravo, Estado de Mexico, Mexico.

It is a great place to reside even because of the temperature conditions as the maximum is 33°C while the minimum is -2°C. The location is great for people who admire the pine and oak laden surroundings. The overall project area was 650sqm and the architectural unit came up with a living, a dining, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a multipurpose room.The wok was made by Parque Humano. The house is a depiction of respecting nature and establishing a connection between the surroundings and the house.
