5 More Spectacular Shipping Container Projects

As you probably already know, shipping containers started to be very popular lately but not because of their intended use. The containers are used for all sorts of projects, from private homes to home offices, studios and even hotels. It might sound strange at first but it’s actually quite interesting and inspiring. We’ve already presented you a few such projects and now we’re back with five more. Here they are:

Three-level studio and living space.

The first one is a home office that was built from repurposed shipping containers. Usually, such a structure is made from just one container. In this case, however, seven containers were used for the project. The result was a three-level studio. Improperly called an office, this structure is in fact more than that.

Space-Efficient And Versatile Fold-Down Desk Designs

As we’ve mentioned on numerous occasions, space is a problem in most homes. It’s why we have to find solutions that can help us include all the furniture pieces that we need in our home without making it feel cluttered and cramped. As we’ve shown you already, fold-down beds are a great way of saving some space. But fold-down desks can also be a great element to include into the design.

Sometimes we don’t have the luxury of devoting an entire room to our work. So we have to make compromises regarding the home office. But, as it turns out, all you need is a desk and a chair. A fold-down desk would be a great piece that can be cleverly hidden when not needed.

10 Private, tranquil and spectacular garden shed offices

If you were to picture the perfect home office it probably wouldn’t be a tiny space in the corner of your bedroom or living room nor a repurposed closet. Those are still fine solutions but only when you don’t have enough space for a real office. So how about a garden shed office? It would be private, without people always passing by distracting you, it would be spacious and you would also get to design it exactly how you want. Here are a few examples of some really spectacular garden shed offices.

Shed-Office= Shoffice.

Let’s start with the Shoffice. Its name is a combination between shed and office. It was designed by Platform 5 Architects in 2012 and it can be found in Westminster, London, UK. The Shoffice is a garden pavilion that was added to a 1950’s house and it features a bold contemporary design. It has a sculptural look and it contains an office alongside garden storage space.

Aquariums are wonderful décor elements. They are very contrasting and always intriguing and surprising. On one hand, aquariums are dynamic because of everything that’s going on inside them. On the other hand, however, they are very peaceful and calming. They always calm you down when you look at them and this makes them very amazing.

Aquariums are commonly placed in living rooms but, occasionally, they can also become an interesting and beautiful part of any other room’s décor. Open Up Your Living Room With Folding Patio Doors

The great thing about having a patio is that is allows you to open up your living room and to create a strong indoor-outdoor connection. Folding doors are perfect in this case as they allow you to connect the two spaces by eliminating the barrier between them. It’s the perfect combination for warm summer days. Here are a few examples that reinforce this idea.

This beautiful residence has lots of impressive features. Its stone walls are marvelous and the interior design is beautiful as well. But the most eye-catching part is the patio. It’s a beautiful, private space surrounded by fences with climbing plants and flowers. The interior living area can be completely opened onto the patio thanks to the folding doors.

After dusting and polishing the shelf, it is then time to start reorganizing the books properly. Failure to do this, you might just end up spending more time than necessary carrying out the project since if you get it all wrong, you would have no option than to start all over again.

The unusual “Freezer Fridays” doodle album by Charlie Layton

A person’s area of expertise inevitably influences everything he or she does as well as the way that person perceives life in general. It influences the daily rituals and sometimes it may even lead to something that might seem simple to you but totally spectacular to everyone else. For example, let’s imagine what a freelance designer and illustrator might do on a Friday morning.

He could wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee while reading the news on his phone like most people do but this wouldn’t make him stand out. If that designer would be Charlie Layton, on the other hand, then each Friday would be a “Freezer Friday”. That’s because it’s the day when he doodles on his fridge with a dry erase marker. Each week comes with a different idea and image.
