N+ew Seats- a limited edition by Rodrigo Alonso
Both my brothers have a real passion for informatics and made of this passion their job. Now they both work in this domain and they really enjoy what they do. I remember the day when an uncle of mine came with a keyboard which was meant to be the first computer item which fascinated one of my brothers. Then he came with a monitor and now my brother bought his own laptop. Actually both my brothers have a laptop and other computer accessories at home which show how technology developed and created us new ways to explore our world or facilities which can make our life easier.
So it is possible to see in one’s house many computer accessories which are not fashionable anymore or some which broke and you wonder what you can do with them? Recycling is one of the best answers and from this idea the Chilean Rodrigo Alonso went to create some N+ew limited edition seats.
Their name stands for No More Electronic Waste as there are made of e-waste which was transformed into technology’s time capsules. Although you may see them as a bunch of trash they look really interesting. CDs, qwerty keyboards, multi-colored cables and motherboards were gathered and arranged in an ingenious way so that you can actually sit on a comfortable and eye-catching seat.
I guess that both my brothers who love so much computers would be enchanted to have such an interesting seat at home. For them it would mean more than an attractive seat, perhaps will be something like a symbol to remind them about their passion and work.
