Modern & Vintage in a Station House

When you decide to renovate a building, you must take into consideration the fact that it is not easy to do it and you have to know exactly what you want. The starting point was the same idea of renovating an old building, in fact an old Station Building for living. The result was a complete renovation, except a few original elements.

The Scandinavian standard was maintained, the floors and walls being painted white and this gave the interior a nice clear aspect. The combination of modern furniture pieces with vintage Danish pieces transformed the space into a pleasant environment. In a generally white atmosphere, the black elements ensure a perfect contrast, while the numerous paintings on the walls and the splashes of color on the floor animate the entire house.

The vintage elements seem to exist in order to testify the past, while the modern elements try to keep up with time, without damaging the old footprint. Every room has at least a splash of color, which gives personality to the place. The black frame gives elegance, the colorful pillows give life to the simple place, the turquoise chair makes the difference in the bright room; each corner has at least a piece of furniture, a decorative object, something that emphasizes the beauty and uniqueness of this living space.{found on skonahem}
