Modern private house with original décor solutions

This lovely private home was a project by 2kul Interior Design and it’s a great representation of mixed styles. The interior of the house is simple and modern but it also has insertions of old and vintage. The whole décor is contrasting. Predominantly, the house features a Scandinavian décor. However, there are many other influences.

It becomes immediately apparent that this home is somewhere in between trends and periods. First of all, there’s the timeless black and white combination that places the décor somewhere in the middle. Then we have the original and very modern details such some of the unusual decorations and the minimalist furniture pieces. There are also some elements that take us back in time and in other contexts. These contrasting combinations are those that make this home unique and eye-catching.

There’s also a interesting combination of natural, almost rough finishes and smooth and modern finishes that further accentuate the differences of textures. The staircase is also a very interesting detail. It’s an original solution with an industrial feel. The artwork and the decorations and accessories are also elements that personalize this space and make it seem timeless, atemporal. In terms of color, the décor is quite simple. There’s the classical black and white combination and some tones of brown and add warmth to the décor while also maintaining the elegant appearance.
