Modern Mews O2 Residence by Andy Martin Architects

London-based design studio Andy Martin Architects recently completed the Mews O2 residence. Located in London’s Belsize Park, the project was a redevelopment that converted a mechanic’s garage into a single family residence.

Owned by a musician and his designer wife, the architects were asked to convert the garage into a four level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining. With floor to ceiling glass walls facing a sunken courtyard, the property features glass mosaic wall art, a modern contemporary kitchen, and private bedrooms tucked above for the ultimate privacy. Furthermore the seamless flooring is flowing horizontally through each level and the contrasting charcoal blocks are rising vertically.

As you can see the architects used a lot of contrasting colors throughout the entire place, giving it personality. The place feels very airy and it presents modern artwork on some of the walls which give it a funky feel. This gorgeous residence presents modern furnishings, state of the art appliances and interesting light fixtures. What’s more the bathroom has clean lines and some beautiful tile on a wall which is the focal point in the room.
