Modern Letter pressed rug

When we think of rugs the first thing that comes into our minds is that great feeling of warmth that tickles when we walk bare feet and drag our feet through a great textured carped. On the other hand, when we hear  “rug art”  automatically in our heads the idea of uncomfortable appears and a we think of the rug more like a piece to watch than to walk on. Well it isn’t quite true,  this item consists of a unbelievably affordable rug art from a normally expensive textile.

Designer Liora Manné, found a way to combine colorful acrylic fibers managing to create a flat techno  feel of saturated hues and intricate patterns. In this particularly model the designer focused on obtaining orange, black, yellow, gray or silver-tone letter. By using letters that varies in shape, font, style, color and so on, the entire piece looks like a really funny ransom note, like the ones used by amateur stalkers or as we’ve seen in movies, serial killers sending messages to their victims, announcing them that they are going to be next.

It doesn’t really matter where the idea comes from as long as nobody tried  so far to write a “message” on a carpet. The whole project is a success , and not only looks good, it is also easy to clean, anti-microbial, anti-static and  it was UV- treated to resist fading.Available for 236 euros.
