Manhattan Beach home design by Chris Barrett

This lovely Manhattan beach home was designed by none other than Chris Barrett whose firm was founded in 1987 and it’s renowned for the chic and contrasting interiors that it offers. This property is just one of the many attractive interior designs that she managed to create by now and it’s a symbol of the type of decors she usually adopts.

Notice how all the different colors work together and complement each other. The color contrast is a very important element is this design, as in all of Chris Barrett’s projects. Most of the furniture from this house is retro with a modern touch. I really like how all the shapes complement each other and how everything seems to have its own place. The attention to details is remarkable.

The most impressive are probably the public areas of the house like the living room and dining room. They all have a very warm look and there’s an inviting atmosphere that is noticeable even from the pictures. The chandelier that hangs over the dining table is one of the most impressive fixtures. Other remarkable decorations would be the paintings from the walls that really light up the place and fit perfectly in their locations. The outdoor spaces are equally chic. There the colors are especially more vibrant and striking in order to compensate with the natural surroundings.
