Luxurious house with harbour views by MPR Design Group

Once you see a home that you like, it is difficult not to compare and contrast it with other houses that you also liked and even with your own house. Seeing the Vaucluse House by MPR Design Group, you do the same thing. How could anyone not like a 4 level luxury house providing the most expansive views of the harbor? Pretty difficult, right?

Located  in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, it follows the concept of reflecting the topography and landform of the harbour basin. It is expressed under the form of horizontal layers, providing the most dramatic harbour views you could think about. There is an obvious contrast between man-made materials such as steel and glass and natural materials, like sandstone. You would not expect from a house located in a small suburban street to be so imposing and welcoming at the same time.

The main living areas are included on the top floor, connected by the light filled stair shaft with entry through the double height foyer on the bedroom level. The living areas are harmoniously linked to the otdoor balconies and covered terraces, the perfect place to spend a pleasant warm evening after a long tiring day. Every room is modern and elegant, simple and luxurious, no matter it is the well-equipped kitchen, the good taste living room or the colorful children ‘s room , all welcoming and pleasant.{found on homedsgn}
