You would probably think that a new hotel should follow an extra contemporary design and amaze the customers by its modernity and yet unseen and unused innovations. But the truth is that if you want to create a building, with no matter what purpose, but mostly a public one, than you should probably adopt a classical immortal design. The classic never goes out of fashion because it is already installed as a reference for good taste and nobleness.
That’s why, this year, a new hotel was launched in New York, promoting a high class and classical way of living. The NoMad Hotel opened its doors on the 1st of April, thought the owners, the Sydell Group, bought the building since 2008. It seems this time the architect Jacques Garcia worked at the restoration project and he made a great job.
The building offered a 133,000 square-foot to play with and he managed to transform the place into a real master-piece, a building that makes a statement about luxury and a refined way of living. Every corner of this hotel makes you feel aristocratic or, on the contrary, small, depending on your self esteem and confidence.
The hotel gathers 168 rooms and lots of elegant socializing rooms. The preciousness of the hotel is firstly given by the expensive materials that were used. The rooms are adorned with handmade vintage Heriz rugs, with stylish textured custom-designed furnishings, luxuriantly textured wood, leather and felt accents, unique hand-selected original artwork and beautiful tiles. That’s not all, but you should probably go and see with your own eyes, because only so you can be totally aware of the NoMad’s richness.
