Low Cost Design Concrete Bookshelves

Bookshelves are made from expensive woods like satinwood, rosewood, mahogany and oak, and that’s why a certain amount of aesthetic credibility is always inevitable. Kamat & Rozario Architecture in Bangalore, India, has designed a low cost and unique set of concrete bookshelves. The outside rings are made of precast concrete, similar to those usually seen in culverts.

There are a lot of different options when it comes to bookshelves. The differences come mostly in the area of design, shape and color. But the materials differ as well. The most common type of bookshelves is the wood one, but there are also plastic or steel variations. However, concrete is not one of the common materials when it comes to furniture, especially bookshelves. But here is a design that uses exactly that material and the result is not bad at all.

The designers have created a very unique and interesting bookshelf design. It has a round shape and it’s made of concrete. The interior is divided into 4 storage spaces, different as size and shape. There are 2 shelves that divide the structure, providing enough space to store the books, magazines, even CDs and DVDs and other decorative pieces. These designs would look nice in a modern or contemporary home, where unique and strange pieces can often find a loving home.{found onfreshome}
