Lovely House in Mallorca by FLEXO Arquitectura

This lovely house is located in Puntiró, Mallorca, Spain, not a very friendly environment. It was designed and built by FLEXO Arquitectura. The house sits on a 15.000 sq meter plot situated in an extensive residential area. The residence was built in the upper part of the plot, near the dense forest that allows amazing views from inside.

The house was designed as a single family residence and the team working at this project had to deal with a reduced budget. Nevertheless, they’ve managed to come up with a sustainable design that made everyone happy. The house was designed as a compact structure oriented north-south. This ensures cross ventilation and maximum sunlight in most of the rooms of the house.

The plot was sloppy and this is usually a defect that has to be corrected. However, in this case, the architects decided to use the slope to form a semibasement ground floor. This area is a recreational space, directly connected to the pool, bedroom and a multi-purpose room that can be used as a guest room. The first floor of the house houses the bedrooms and the other facilities. The residence was built in 2006 and it’s still in great shape. The close proximity to the mostly untouched forest provides the owners with beautiful and relaxing views.
