Incandescent vs. CFL vs. LED

CFLs or compact fluorescent light bulbs were the first alternative that became available worldwide. They are more efficient than incandescent light bulbs but they are more expensive to purchase. They come in a variety of shapes and brightness levels and the most popular are the ones with a spiral coil. They use 1/4 th of the energy of standard incandescent bulbs and they also have a longer lifespan. They last approximately 10,000 hours which is a lot compared to the 2,500 hours offered by an incandescent bulb. They allow you to save 460 kilowatt hours of energy.

LEDs.

LEDs or light-emitting diodes are a relatively new option and they are even more energy-efficient than CFLs. An LED bulbs lasts approximately 50,000 hours which is 5 times longer than a CFL bulb and they use 300 kilowatt hours of electricity during their lifespan. Compared to the CLF, an LED bulb saves 400 kilowatt hours of electricity. This makes them the best alternative.
