If you can’t go into the nature, bring the nature inside your home

Chang Architects have found a way to satisfy the nature lovers who, however, don’t want to live in the middle of it. A very simple solution: if you can’t or don’t want to live in the nature, then all you have to do is to bring the nature to you. This is exactly what the owners of this house in Singapore did, with the help of the designers.

The house is a combination of concrete, glass, timber, steel and… nature. There are different kinds of plants and trees that can be found inside the actual house. On the top there is a pond that collects rainwater, the vital fluid for all these living elements.

No doubt, this is an unusual home. But it’s a place that, in the end, looks right. We have reached a period when we need comfort, but also need nature. This a way to reunite them. So why not create our own forest inside the house? An oasis in the middle of the city.
