First of all, get everything out of the garage and evaluate the space. Then decide how it’s going to be organized. Will it be a completely enclosed space or a sort of indoor-outdoor area? What kind of furniture you want to include? If you want a fireplace then a few changes have to be made before starting the decorating process.

Add some windows.

Usually, the garage doesn’t feature windows. It has a large door and nothing more. Consider changing the design and making the entrance smaller and adding a window or maybe a glass wall. It’s important to bring natural light in if you want the space to feel inviting.

Take advantage of the views.

If you’re fortunate enough to have a garage with beautiful views then you must take advantage of that. Either install a glass wall, add some windows or get a huge glass door and make sure you place the sitting area so that everyone can enjoy the views.

Time to add the furniture.

When you furnish the space, try to include pieces that are compact and easy to move. This way you can easily change the configuration of the space and the garage can be multipurpose zone. Also, decide if you want a sitting area and nothing more or you also want to include a dining space or an entertainment area as well. You can even have a small workspace.
