How to decorate your living room using black and white

Black and white are two neutral colors and the combination that results is timeless. The black and white combination is very popular and used in almost all the domains. In the case of the interior design, there are lots of ways in which these colors can be beautifully combined. Let’s see some tips for the living room.

Assuming that the living room is spacious, there should be enough space for you to design as you wish. As usually, the first thing you need to do is decide what color you want to use for the walls. Since in this case there are only two choices, it;s easy to make a decision. This means that the walls will be white. This way the atmosphere will be airy and the white walls and white ceiling will be like a blank canvas for you to decorate as you want.

If the walls are white, this allows you to add accent pieces. In this case those will be black. For example, if you have a favorite piece of furntiure, that should stand out. If most of the decor is white this means it will be black and vice versa. Creating color contrast is a good idea but this works mostly when there’s also a distinc color besides black and white. When these are the only color you want to use, you should try to create a balance.

However, even if you want to create a black and white itnerior, this doesn’t mean you should only focus only those two colors. The floor is difficult to be either white or black. In this case you can choose a light tone of brown or maybe something in the middle: grey. You can use the same colors for the rest of the decor. The sofa can be grey for example and if you have an open floor plan with the living room and dining room in the same space, the dining room chairs can be beige or brown.

Moreover, a black and white interior is very chic but it doesn;t necessarily restrict the color use to only these two. You can very small hints of color for the decorations and accessories. You can add some fresh green plants, maybe some splashes of red or orange. Try not to feel limited by these two colors, even if they are the stars in this equation.{picture sources:4 and rest from site}.
