How to decorate with wagon wheels

It might sound odd but wagon wheels can make beautiful decorations for lots of homes. There are many interesting and unexpected ways of upcycling wagon wheels. They can be used inside or outside the house. We have selected a few suggestive examples that should give you some inspiration.

A great idea would be to use wagon wheels in the garden. Use them as decorations and try to make them blend in as much as possible. This garden, for example, features beautiful lot lying plants, stone pathways and an overall dusty and simple décor so the wagon wheels stand out but also blend in.

Another great idea for the garden or yard is to make a pushcart and fill it with decorative pumpkins, plants and other elements also found in the garden. This pushcart features two wagon wheels and it’s been made from wood planks. It’s simple, not very difficult to make and it’s a wonderful decoration for the outdoor area.

Here’s an idea for using wagon wheels on the deck or porch. It’s extremely simple. Just have the wagon wheels rest on the walls. If you’re having trouble keeping them secure you can have some stoppers or you could attach them to the walls. Use integral wagon wheels as well as parts or rims.

Of course, one beautiful wagon wheel can be everything you need to make your home stand out. For example, this tropical residence features a beautiful wagon wheel mounted on the exterior wall of a covered deck, just above the bench.

The veranda of this residence also features some wagon wheels. The wagon wheel benches give the house a western allure and make it stand out. It’s so simple and yet the impact is so strong. It’s all about knowing what to use and how to use it.

And now it’s time to turn our attention towards the interior of the house. Wagon wheels can also make beautiful indoor decorations. Of course, the strategies for using them are different. For example, a very simple way of integrating a wagon wheel into a living room’s décor is to display it on the fireplace mantel. Make sure it sits safe and secure.

Another great idea for integrating wagon wheels into a traditional home’s décor is to transform it into an industrial-style chandelier. It would look beautiful in a home with high ceilings and exposed wooden beams. A pitched ceiling would also make a great décor.

This is a chandelier that features not one but two wagon wheels. They have different dimensions and they were used to make a very beautiful oversized chandelier that’s hanging from the high pitched ceiling. The effect is dramatic and very beautiful and unexpected.

Of course, when you have a wagon wheel and want to display it in your home but without too much trouble, you can simply place it in a key area. For example, the staircase would be a nice space. Everyone uses it and it’s inevitable to ignore the wagon wheel. It’s also a nice way of decorating a space that usually remains plain and simple.
