How to Change the Look of Your House With Little Money

Every now and then I feel the need for a change in my house and I move the furniture around or purchase some new decorations or do something that will make it look different. I am sure you all feel the same and of course you can do that by hiring a very good designer, but that will take a lot of time and money. But if you want a change and you want to spend as little as possible, this is possible, too, but only if you know how to use a few tricks.

If you have older furniture you can give it a different look by simply painting it the color that you want, matching it to the general color of the room. If the furniture can’t be painted but it is not looking very well, you can apply some self-adhesive cover that can be found in different patterns, including that of wood.

Buy a very conspicuous decoration like a hanging lamp or a huge painting on the wall (even it is only a reproduction, the effect will be amazing). You can also decide to cover the bed , the sofa or the chairs with stylish covers made of a nice cloth, chosen in a certain color so as to match the other pieces in the puzzle that make up the design change.

One last idea would be to have an artist (or yourself with a little help) paint something really nice on the room walls. This way the whole appearance of the room will be changed. But, of course, it is after all a matter of taste and of personal choices, so good luck with it.
