How to arrange furniture around a tv?

Nowadays, most of the people consider introducing a television in their living room area so that they can enjoy some great moments with their family. After all, there is nothing as wonderful as seating together with the family members and friends and watching the favorite television soap.Though a myriad number of people give utmost importance to installation of television in the living room, but very few of them actually give importance to the arrangement of furniture around it. Arrangement of furniture around a television is very vital and should be given proper consideration.

1) First of all, you need to consider the position of the television that shall anchor the room. If you have a flat screen television, then the ideal location for it is the wall.  Assure that the wall where you hang the television is empty. On the other hand, if you own the typical box type television then you need to place it on a television stand and place the stand centrally in the living room according to the availability of space.

2) Now you need to consider the seating arrangement. The first thumb rule of arranging the seating arrangement around a television is that television must be visible by all the seats. In addition, the seating arrangement should also be such that people do not land up straining their necks while watching television. It is always recommended to first place the sofa as it is the largest piece of furniture and can house maximum people. If space permits, place the sofa parallel to the television unit.

3) Arrange the other seating furniture such as the chairs, love seat, couches on the sides of the sofa according to the availability of space. However, ensure to leave enough space (but not more than three feet) for smooth traffic flow. In addition, there should also be enough space that functionality of other furniture’s in the room is not disrupted especially the doors.

4) Add a table to the arrangement to make it complete. The ideal way to place the table is in the center of the seating arrangement so that it is accessible by most of the seats. Also ensure that there is enough leg space between the table and the seating furniture.
