The residence looks very imposing. It has a massive structure and a very simple design composed by several geometrical shapes put together. The client’s request was a high-quality building that would complement the existing residential program and would naturally integrate into the surrounding landscape. The site is composed by a large construction area but in the back there’s also a relatively large green area visible from some of the rooms.

In order to take advantage of the nature and the views it offers, the residence has been built with transparent surfaces and large windows and glass walls. The backyard can be enjoyed from inside without any problem. The house is efficient in more than one way. It’s large and spacious and it offers beautiful views while also allowing the inhabitants to have privacy. Moreover, the basement level opens to the garden and also acts like a concrete base for the transparent volume. It also houses a two-car covered parking space and a storeroom.{found on archdaily and designed by GRAUX & BAEYENS architecten}
