Happy Thanksgiving and original Manila Rope Lights by Atelier 688

I’ve always loved original designs. I love the way they manage to take you by surprise and to be so deceiving but in a good way. That’s why these particular lights are one of my favorites so far. Designed by Atelier 688, the Manila Rope Lights are very original and they manage to combine something so simple like a rope with something so useful like the lighting fixture.

These are a great and fun alternative to the usual pendant or other type of lights. They are just what a contemporary home needs to be fun and unique. The Manila Rope Lights are available in 12 feet sections but additional sizes are also available. In this case you would have to email the producers and decide on the length and price.

Because they have such a simple and basic design, a rope, they are also extremely flexible. This is a lighting fixture that you can safely play with, that you can transform into any shape you want and place wherever you want. The wiring used is rated to 250V and the light base is screw type E26 medium base so European E27 standard bulbs will normally have no problem fitting.

So it’s not just versatile in form and shape but also in technical details. I would say that such a light fixture would look nice in a living room, maybe above a fireplace or in a bedroom. But since it’s so simple and flexible, you can basically use it wherever you want as long as it’s in a protected area. You can buy them for only $50.
