Hanging Air plant Pods by Michael McDowell

First when you see these air plant pods, you may think of octopuses. They seem to have the same shapes. The difference is that the air plant pods love air and the octopuses love water. The American designer Michael McDowell was interested in designing these air plant pods for air plants. He discovered that tillandsias cannot survive if their leaves are touched by water. So, at the same time it is a decoration for your house and a device for air plants too. They do not seem to be sophisticated, the plant is the one which gives life, color and an interesting shape to the air plant pod.

These air plant pods can decorate your interior but you may use them outdoor too. In case you do not want to hang them you may put them right up on a table or a shelf too.
