If you like taking showers, instead of having the more traditional shower heads that dispense up to 3 gallons of water in every given minute, it is better to go for more modern and low-flow shower heads that dispense less than 2 gallons of water per minute. It is cheap and at the same time, improves the market value of your home. Also, consider take shorter showers. This is another viable way of going green in your home. Instead of leaving the water running while you soap, it is better to turn it off and after soaping, turn on the shower to rinse. This takes less gallons of water and cuts down on energy expenses.
