This hotel was launched in 2009 and is the first property from an exciting new hotel brand.The original founder of the Missoni label, designer Rosita Missoni combined the unique Italian fashion and interior designs with the building expertise of The Rezidor Hotel Group.This new building redefines the hotel’s design, thanks to this fact Hotel Missoni became quicly one of Edinburgh’s most desirable destinations.
The overall colour scheme used for the interiors is simple with black and white articulated with some bold flashes of colour.In here guests will also discover beautiful art works such as Hans J Wegner’s Wishbone Chair or the famous Ladderback Chair build by Charles Rennie Mackintosh.
Two masive mosaic urns placed in the hotel’s lobby stand to be something of a trademark for Hotel Missoni.136 rooms and suites are offered to guets, some of them offering stunning views over the city landmarks and the famous Royal Mile.
Combinig forms, colors and function the rooms continue the monochromatic pallete throughout the entire property, animated with some marvelous bursts of color.Each room has an en-suite bathroom with original custom make objects and scented using a Missoni fragrance.In addition of these rooms there are also 7 suites with different sizes, ranging between 44 -67 sq. meters like the Suite d’Angelo.Another thing that made this popular is the Spa and the Missoni Bar, located on the ground floor, in the hotel’s lobby, being also inspired also by the Italia tradition of “passeggiata”.
