Exciting renovation and extension of a turn-of-the-century terrace house

To get started you should prepare for a modern design and a modern building located in Sydney,Australia. Smart Design Studio created a 325 square meters modern wonder.  The project was elaborate and involved a renovation and an extension of a turn-of-the-century terrace house. Probably the main piece is the grand spiraling stair that unites those two parts of the house: new and old. In a building with such history and design this staircase represents the element that grafts the contemporary and new minimal structure to the formal older portion of the dwelling.

I would have to mention that the main motif here is the alternation between the new building and the old one. Like any other home this has numerous areas that add a higher degree of comfort and privacy. The living area is quite spacious, as well as the dining location. Open space solutions make everything interconnected enhancing the sensation of space.

Large windows establish an important connection with the outside world, a connection that tempers a little bit the modern avalanche found indoors. The materials used in this design are all shiny and bright; most of them black or white.  I have to salute the designers idea because this project turned our pretty good given the fact that the space available wasn’t  exactly blank and they had to be creative to work with whatever the  impediments were.{found on archdaily}.
