Elegant and natural Graffiti Cafe interior design

The name of this café might let you believe that it’s a casual and colorful place when, in reality, it’s quite elegant and neutral. The Graffiti Café is located in Varna, Bulgaria and it was a project by Studio Mode. It was completed in 2011. The café covered a total area of 300 square meters. The interior is very glamorous and bright.

The interior of the café was separated into two zones. The internal structure is very functional. The front area was actually incorporated into the exterior space forming a separate volume The rear area represents the other volume. Separating there areas was not that difficult. The real challenge was solving the ventilation and acoustic problems. Everything was subordinated to the aesthetic part of the design and had to be restructured to fit with these elements.

The design team managed to find a solution that solved all their problems. The technical and functional impediments were surpassed and the solution was a very stylish one that also adds elegance to the décor. The key was to create a modern and artistic design for the ceiling that unifies all the spaces, creates a visually challenging image while also allowing to hide all the technical details behind the modern and abstract design.
