Egg Shell Crafts With Cute Everyday Appeal

We all use eggs on a regular basis and shells usually get thrown away without even giving this any thought. That’s really a shame because egg shells can be used in o many cute and beautiful way you’d be surprised on how amazing these apparently fragile things are. The following 10 projects are particularly inspiring.

Use egg shells as tiny flower vases. Be careful how you break the egg. Try to make a few holes at the top and gently chip away the shell to make an opening. Empty the egg and gently glue it onto a small mirror or another surface using candle wax. Then put some water and a flower in it and that’s all.{found on craftberrybush}.

Using only half of the shell you can make a tiny planter for your succulents. If you manage to break the egg into two usable parts, that would be even better. Make as many egg shell planters as you need, preferably enough to fill an egg carton. Then add soil and tiny succulents and you have your own cute little garden.{found on lerobinsnest}.

For the following project, you need some raw eggs, small to medium size silk flowers, a PVC pipe and a saw, a hot glue gun, glass beads and dried moss. Poke a hole into the top of the egg and chip off some of the shell. Wash the shell and cut rings out of the PVC pipe. Then glue the shell to the ring and let it cool. There’s also a way to display your lovely egg shell vases or planters on the wall. You can make macrame holders for them. Basically you just twist and knot the strings to make the planter holders, adapted of course to the exact dimensions of the egg shells you want to use. Another idea is to use egg cups or tiny containers to display your beautiful creations. First color the eggs and then make a hole at the top and remove the content. Plant small flowers in each egg shell and display them all in the cups you’ve chosen. These cute flower arrangements would look lovely in the kitchen but also elsewhere in the house. Since you’ve going to be using lots of eggs to prepare all the delicious food around Easter, you might as well use the shells to make something cute and Easter-themed such as an egg tree centerpiece. You need egg shells, acrylic paints, cardboard paper and tube, decorative paper, a hot glue gun and sprinkles, moss or colored rice.

Color the inside and the outside of the shells with different colors. Cut out cardboard and decorative paper to make the stand. Use tubes to make the tiers and glue together all the pieces.
