Eco-friendly House in Australia by POPOVbass Architects

Point Piper House is a stunning house designed by POPOVbass Architects. Located in Sydney, Australia, this house has an amazing design due to the beautiful but challenging site. With gorgeous views to the harbor, this building will leave you speechless.

This lovely three-bedroom house is set on a site that has an irregular shape that drops vertically three storeys from the street edge. The living area is located on the lowest level to best utilize the outdoor garden space. The entry is on the third floor and a fourth level void scallops out the building in order to unify all the storeys. An important thing the architects had to deal with was natural light. Due to the site and neighboring houses, light is only available from the east or from above.

Furthermore the void space was also designed to provide ventilation throughout the entire place. The house is eco-friendly, rain water is collected and used for landscaping and toilets. What’s more solar panels and gas boosters are installed to provide for pool heating, hot water and hydronic trench heating. The interior presents a clean desin with modern furnishings that give the house the perfect balance.

Point Piper House is a sophisticated home that is ready for its final curtain call. With breathtaking views and contemporary features, this place is a warm and welcoming place to land.{found on contemporist}
