The Eclectic Casa Cor Design– A Combination Of Bold Colors And Unusual Accent Details

This is the interior design that Rafael Simonazzi created for Casa Cor in 2013. He decided to use a combination of bold colors and iconic pieces in order to showcase the latest trends in furniture and design. The space given to the designer was a loft with a large ground floor and a wooden mezzanine level. He wanted to use striking sculptural elements to make the space stand out. One of these elements is the webbed screen which divides the main living space.

The web screen would have to be my favorite detail here but it;s definitely not the only unusual one. In the living space there’s a large tree sculpture made of white painted wood. It’s placed in the center of the room and it’s function is to support the ceiling.

Overall, the living area is a cozy space featuring a neutral color palette and organic shapes. One of the most interesting pieces of furniture here is the dining table which also doubles as a biliards table.

As you can see, the ground floor is the living area which contains a sitting area, a dining space and the living room. The mezzanine level is a study/ office space. It has an exotic feel. One wall is covered by a floor-to-ceiling shelf with colorful rectangular modules. The desk is actually a stainless steel and glass table and it;s complemented by contrasting seats on each side. Colorful rugs with geometric patterns add dynamism to the space.
