Dreamy Dressing Room – Haute Hipster Style

Hipster style is a term frequently used nowadays. It is used to refer to a subculture of young recently settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers.  In terms of style this trend is described as  a mixture of styles tastes and behavior and it is associated with independent music, alternative life styles and non-mainstream fashion sensibility.  Knowing these essential things about this style let’s take a look at how the perfect dressing room  would look like based on our recommendations.

The central piece should definitely be this wonderful Sierra Six-Drawer Dresser. This richly textured item features six large drawers  in which I am sure that you will be able to fit all your things and still have some room to spare. Those drawer faces are made entirely from  strips of teak repurposed from production scraps.

The solid oak frame unify the piece into a 60” W x 20” D x 33.5”H  must have dresser. The drawers have modern metal glides for an easy open/ close movement, helping to improve the durability of the product by eliminating unnecessary friction .The two types of wood that built this item are coated differently for a better protection and  for highlighting  their natural properties. The teak is finished with a water-based protective coat and the European oak has a wax and oil finish. It is priced around  1429.06 EUR but the added value to the space exceeds the  expectations.

Another item that should be included  in this design is this modern chair.  It was originally designed in 1948 by Charles and Ray Eames and back then was introduced in the Museum of Modern Art , now this  Herman Miller acquisition is delivered in recyclable polypropylene painted in your choice of bright colors and chromed legs. It was especially designed to create a focal point in the right environment and this would be the perfect place where this marvelous chair will be fully appreciated. Price $297.00.

To complete this design we chose a large mirror to be hanged in the right spot  on the wall so we can admire ourselves as well to create an optical illusion of a larger space, and play a little bit with the light within the room. This modern mirror costs only  $29,99 and is fitted with a strip of safety film to reduce the damage if the glass is broken.
