Wall Mural Inspiration & Ideas For Little Girls’ Rooms

Little girls still believe in magic and happily ever after, they enjoy the simple, pretty things in life and all that is whimsy, so why not bring those fairy-tales to life in their bedrooms? Wall murals are a great way to bring life into a room. It sets the mood, the theme and the tempo of the space it lives.

You don’t have to be a master artist to complete any of these projects, nor do you even have to paint for some! Check out some of these inspirational rooms… we bet one of these wall murals is just right for your little girl!

1. Grab their favorite character and stick it on the wall!

Talk about a great way to bring a fairy-tale to life! There are so many places where you can snag popular characters from the movies and favorite storybooks and put them up on the wall! It’s an instant, no-mess, no-fuss mural – that completely changes the room and adds an extra pop of girliness! 2. Add some flower power.

When little girls think “pretty,” they don’t just think of princesses … they think flowers! Just like with their favorite characters, you can also find so many different flower stickers to add some pizzazz to your little princess’s walls. (Check out wallstickeroutlet.com for some like these!)

Like I mentioned earlier, you don’t have to be a master artist to create something magical. Places like Etsy have “Wall Mural Kits” for novice decorators, or those will a little less talent but still want something that looks professional. They’ll send you self-adhesive stencils and you can choose whatever color and arrangement you’d like! Or if you’re super talented ….. use some princess inspiration to create a room filled with all your little girl’s favorites!

4. Butterflies are beautiful.

There is really nothing more magical than butterflies, especially to little girls. Easy to find decals or stencils and one of the easiest shapes to free-hand … if your little girl is fascinated by the majestic nature of butterflies … this idea is a winner!

5. Mix stencils, decals and free hand.

Don’t be scared do just do your own thing either. Use stencils and decals for the “big” stuff and do something on your own like painting a pretty, blue sky filled with fluffy clouds onto the ceiling.

Don’t be scared to think outside-the-box for your little girl either. Just because she’s a girl doesn’t mean it has to be over-the-top girly. Ask her what she likes or wants …. and create something different. Check out all these ideas to get inspired!
