DIY magazine rack

Do you often get tired of having to gather and put away magazines and papers that are scattered all over the house? Build yourself a magazine rack and everything will change. You’ll have a place where you can store your magazines, where you know you can always find them and where you know they’re safe. This will also help you keep your home more organized.

There are lots of ways in which you can make your own magazine rack. One way would be to use a stud. Also, make sure you have 14’ of electrical cord, four 3’’ screws, 2 shades of paint, sandpaper and two pieces of galvanized plumber’s tape. The stud needs to be 2x3x96″. First measure it and cut it into two 16’’ long pieces and two 29’’ long pieces. The dimensions may vary. Form a frame and secure it with screws. Also make some holes for the electrical cord. Then start painting. Use one color for the inside and another one for outside of the frame. Of course, this part can be customized however you want.

Next, take the electrical cord and make the racks on which the magazines will stay. Pull it as tight as you can do it doesn’t sag anywhere. You can use something else if you prefer. Now your magazine rack is complete. This is just one example. You can adjust the dimensions or the design and you can use different materials if you want.{found on abeautifulmess}.
