Danish Sideboard with Acorn & Ribbon Decor

Some things are only fashionable for a season or two, depending on how fast fashion changes, but sometimes, very high quality things that are really beautiful and classy increase their value in time and if they are very well preserved they can be turned into a fortune. Let’s take this Danish Sideboard with Acorn & Ribbon Decor for example. I was made some time ago in the 1870s and it has been restored recently, which makes it still look great. But the new and improved hand painted distressed black finish only made it look elegant, not changing too much of its design .

This sideboard is large enough to store whatever you might need there and it is stylish, too. It has two big doors and two upper drawers with metal handles. You can use those for storing small items like socks or something else. There is a beautiful decoration which is applied on the sideboard and this is a ribbon with an acorn. It is so 19th century! The whole weight is supported by the four stout legs (actually two wooden legs and two – the front ones- balls. The sideboard looks now a lot better, but you can easily tell it is an antique, which is perfectly fine. The item is now  for sale for  $2,685.00.
