Danish black and white interiors by Norm

There’s something unique about Danish and Swedish architecture. These styles are so simple and yet so appealing. The interior designs are always minimalist and with very few colors and they still manage to impress. I think it’s this simplicity that makes people appreciate them. It’s always nice to have a clean and organized home and it’s even easier when the decor helps. These residences were designed by Copenhagen-based architecture firm NORM and they have all the characteristics mentioned above.

The houses are mostly black and white. It’s a classic combination, both simple and elegant. It’s also a timeless mix that will never get out of fashion. The interior designs created by Norm are minimalist and sophisticated and the rooms are functionally decorated. They have crisp white walls and they serve as a black canvas for the black accent elements. Also, the floors simple, either wood or stone and they sometimes add a pale touch of brown or beige.

Everything is minimalist, from the furniture to the lighting fixtures and all the little details. Even the artwork from the walls is in tone with the interior décor. Still, even though I really like the designs, I still feel like something is missing. Maybe it wouldn’t have been such a bad to add a touch of color here in there in the form of some decorations or details such as pillows, vases, flowers, sculptures and any other display elements.
