Daniella Chest

We have all seen better or worse, older or a lot more recent versions of films depicting the Golden Era of France, during the reign of “Roi Soleil” as Louis XIV was often called. We all looked at the hair, at the clothes, but very few looked at the furniture. I simply love that furniture that had personality and style, was very useful and functional, yet also very much an work of art and beautiful. This Daniella Chest is what reminded me of that furniture and I think it’s impressive.

The reason is the style in which this chest was carved and made, reminded of the old days in furniture design. It looks a bit rounded on the edges, with big drawers and fine and delicate handles and legs. It is available in more colours, but I like the red one best, as I think it embodies the old days furniture better. It is solidly crafted with a hardwood frame. It is finished manually and then lacquered to preserve its depth of colour and look. And all these features come for a fair price – $599.
