Creative animal-inspired lamps by Atelier Abigail Ahern

Today we came across a very interesting and fun collection of lamps. It’s a series of table lamps designed by Atelier Abigail Ahern and it includes four different models. It’s an animal-inspired collection and it features creative replicas of a poodle, a greyhound, a bulldog and a pelican. The materials used for the collection didn’t allow the designers to create exact replicas of the living animals so they are not exactly lifelike but they’re very close.

The collection is made in England using grazed earthenware. The lampshades are made of silk and they complement beautifully the rest of the design. Because the base is so elaborate, the shade had to be simple. However, a certain classic style was required for that as well. The silk and delicate lamp shades from the Parisian Atelier are perfect for these lovely animal-inspired base structures. Together they form a beautiful combination both in terms of texture and color.

These lovely bohemian lamps are not suitable only for animal lovers. They can put a smile on your face if added to the living room for example or even better in the office. It’s a playful collection that combines classic details with quirky shapes. The lamps come in different sizes and any one of them would look lovely in basically any type of interior.{found on freshome}
