Cozy Studio Apartment Seamlessly Mixes Old And New
Marrying two very different styles, elements of old and new is not uncommon but not easy either. So every time we find such a space we love to just analyze it in detail. Let’s now take a look at this apartment. It’s a studio and it measures only 35 square meters. Nevertheless, there are plenty of interesting things to see here.
Given the small size of the space, there’s not enough room for separate spaces. It’s why this is actually a loft. Notice those interesting-looking beams above the living room sofa? They actually support the bedroom. The structure resembles a spider web.
The space of the open floor plan is a little unusual and irregular. But this only makes it more interesting. The corners were cleverly used to create a cozy and inviting décor.
There’s not a lot of furniture so, even though the room is small, the décor is airy and open. The window lets in lots of sunlight and this emphasizes the beauty of the warm colors sued throughout.
The sleeping area is tiny but not as cramped as you might think. The bed sits suspended on a wooden platform supported by the beams. Once you’re up there, you find a lovely setting, with a bed, a nightstand and even a built-in shelf.
The bold stripes and the small touches of color give this cozy corner a very appealing look.
The kitchen is a separate room and it too features an interesting color palette. We love the contrasts and the combination of glossy black, turquoise and purple, all on a white background.
This area has a very modern look and it’s cleverly organized. There’s a nice little bar area by the window and all the appliances and little details were carefully selected.
Here you can clearly see the contrast of old and new we were talking about at the beginning. You can also see that there’s a seamless cohesion throughout.
As you may have noticed, furniture is scarce in this apartment so there aren’t many obvious storage spaces. But this doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Clever storage solutions can be seen throughout the apartment. The entrance features a very interesting system which has both practical and decorative use.
In the bathroom you can clearly see a very classy décor and how built-in features help create an overall modern look.Even with such limited space there’s still plenty of room for style.{found on erikolsson}.
