Cozy bachelor pad by Michael Moeller Design

This inviting bachelor pad is located in West Village, New York City. It was a project by Michael Moeller Design and it covers a surface of 1,241 square feet. The pad is situated on the penthouse level. The interior décor has an industrial feel but it’s also very inviting and cozy. The ceilings are low but, instead of making the space feel smaller, it gives perspective and depth and it shifts the attention towards the many beautiful details that make this bachelor pad unique.

The apartment was designed for a young and successful client that has been living in it for 1.5 years. It was his first real apartment and he wanted to make this place feel personal and to make it his home. Given the fact that the apartment was rented, he couldn’t make any drastic changes. The structure and the layout had to remain intact and this presented a challenge. The odd layout and the low ceilings weren’t the best choice but everything else was opened to transformation.

The walls in the living room were painted in a neutral and warm tone of beige. The furniture is simple and masculine, just like it should be in a bachelor pad. The client’s favorite item is the antique marble top coffee table. It has lion paw feet and it’s an eye-catching detail and one of the few detailed pieces. The kitchen has grey walls and vintage furniture and the bedroom is simple, with tan walls and a beautiful skylight above the bed.{found on apartmenttherapy}.
