Cozy 1890’s turquoise interior design cottage on Sullivan Island

This cozy and inviting house is a cute little cottage with a lovely interior design. It can be found on Sullivan Island out of Charleston, SC. It’s a lovely 1890’s cottage and it has been recently restored. Allen Design Inc. worked with the Southern Lumber & Millwork Corporation. Together they managed to restore the cottage which would be more appropriately called a beach house.

The house had to be renovated and restored to its original beauty. In order to do that, the team that worked on this project had to make some major changes. They had to repanel the walls and the ceilings. They also needed to replace the windows and to refinish the original wood floors. Many of the original elements have been preserved. After all, this would be just a plain common beach house if it wasn’t for its unique design.

Other changes have been made as well. For example, the interior design looms quite different than it used to before. The fireplace was restored and the rooms are more airy and bright. There’s a sense of freedom in there. All the room open up into each other and are interconnected. Overall, there’s a very nice cottage-like feel and atmosphere inside. That’s mostly because there are a lot of wood features involved in the design. It’s also partly due to the interior design and the simple and cozy furniture. It’s a very ncie getaway, a great place to relax.
