Contemporary Sunset Residence in Singapore
If I would live in a warmer country, definitely I would love to live in a house like this. The Sunset Residence project was designed by Singapore-based architectural firm Topos Design Studio. This two story contemporary home is located in Burkit Timah, Singapore. Behind a simply decorated entrance, there is a wonderful swimming pool surrounded by the U-shaped house made of wood and a lot of steel and glass. The white living area is the perfect place for relaxing on one of those cozy pieces of furniture, or looking through one of those big sliding glass doors facing the pool at the beautiful view.
The kitchen is very modern and has plenty of natural light. The dining area is very close to it; to avoid spreading unpleasant scents, the owners preferred having two kitchens separated by a wall. The big and elegant one is open, but the other one, where are cooked all the sophisticate and flavored dishes, is separated. In the left wing of the house there is the master bedroom, a large place with a beautiful view and a big wardrobe and bathroom.
Here, the private area, where is the bed, is separated from the pool area by a dark wooden wall which is also an amazing decorating object. Upstairs it is the private area; each of the five bedrooms has private wardrobe room and bathroom, and also large windows that allow you to look at the pool. Another interesting element is that if you get home very late and you don’t want to disturb your family, there is an exterior spiral staircase that leads on a terrace, from there you can enter in the family room and then, in one of the bedrooms without disturbing anyone.
