Contemporary residence on Harrison Street,Washington

This residence is located in Issaquah, Washington, USA. It covers a total area of 4,589 square feet/ 426 square meters. It’s a beautiful house that was designed by Scott Allen Architecture. The project was completed in October 2011. It’s a beautiful two-storey building with a sophisticated design and wonderful views.

The residence naturally integrates into the surroundings and the casual Pacific Northwest lifestyle. The location and the shape and size of the site allowed the architects to place the main living areas and the master suite on the upper level in order to take full advantage of the wonderful views. The entry of the residence is covered and far away from the street, behind a garden and pond. This way the transition from exterior to interior is smooth and subtle.

The living, dining and kitchen areas share a common space. They are placed in the center of the house and form a beautiful vaulted space. It has hardwood floors and wood beams on the ceiling. It’s also a bright and airy space with plenty of natural light coming through the windows. The two levels are connected by a wood and steel staircase. On the lower level there’s a multi-functional space connected to a deck and terrace. On the same level there are also three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a bar and wine room. The garage is also there but hidden from view.{found on archdaily and pics by Aaron Leitz Photography}.
