Surrounded by an ecological reserve, the retreat was built as a quiet family getaway where three generations could have fun and enjoy each other’s company. The goal was to create a relaxing and enjoyable holiday home that would link its users to nature. The architects chose to use natural materials and to follow a simple design.

Both the private and the social areas are all situated on the same level, facing the mountains. A deck connects them to the courtyard, the pool, outdoor shower and waterfall. The style is eclectic, featuring a mixture of rustic and contemporary elements.

The wood used throughout creates a pleasant, warm and inviting ambiance and has a second role of connecting the spaces in order to establish a cohesive look. The color palette includes neutrals as well as other elegant accent colors such as the burgundy in the kitchen. Large windows and glass walls open the interior spaces to the great outdoors and let the light in at the same time.
