Contemporary mass light made of brown marble and glass

Some people are more romantic than other and they observe each detail when they are traveling. After all, traveling it’s all about seeing new things and taking back with you their spirit. This is how architects Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen had the ingenious idea of creating an indoor lamp with the design of an outdoor one. While traveling in Paris, Barcelona and New York, romantic cities by definition, they felt in love with that sort of street lamps which have a hat shaped iron top and a semi transparent glass sphere at the base.

The architects adapted the outdoor laps for indoors and modified their design so it can fit a modern and also a classy space. They named the new creation the MASS LIGHT. The lamp is now in shape of a pendant. They dropped the iron and they used instead brown marble, so that their creation would be more close to a natural look. The combination of glass and marble gives a more sensual feeling and also induces a sense of quality and durability.

The main quality of this lamp is its design which can fit almost any stylish indoor design. Due to its colors it can fit any chromatic ambient in a way that draw attention very discretely, without contrasting with the other objects. Although the marble is a cold stone, the lap’s curves soften the expression, but also give the impression of strength. So or all the romantic, but also strong people, the MASS LIGHT should be the perfect option.
