Colorful and inviting interior design samples from Steven Gambrel

Naturally, each architect and designer has their own style. Some prefer to keep up with all the new discoveries and trends, others enjoy embracing the past and others like to mix those too. We recently found a very beautiful residence with an exquisite interior design and décor that doesn’t really seem to match any of the other styles we’ve seen so far.

This beautiful residence was designed by Historical Concepts out of Peachtree City, Georgia and the interior design was the creation of Steven Gambrel. We’re going to focus more on the interior, since it’s the most spectacular. Each room has a different look and the color palette is very rich throughout. The colors were very beautifully combined. What’s very intriguing and interesting is the way the earthy colors were paired with cold tones of blue and green. It’s an unusual choice and it’s rare to see so many bold colors in one place, especially when they come from so different backgrounds.

But leaving the colors aside, all the rooms of the residence are very cozy. The breakfast nook is just lovely. Those red chairs really stand out, surrounded by light blue walls. The chandelier is also perfectly placed there. Also, notice how the areas where there’s lots of light feature brighter colors and the combinations are more intriguing.

In the areas with artificial light, the colors tend to be toned down. This way there’s a very nice balance between cozy and entertaining spaces. In some of the rooms the transition between these color palettes is made gradually but it’s still very visible. The upstairs of the residence is just as beautiful. The pillow-lined nook is almost begging for someone to lie down and relax. Here the colors are softer and more soothing. On this level, the combination of green, blue and turquoise seems to have taken over all the rooms.{found on houseofturquoise}.
