Classic kitchen turned into a modern and spacious black design

Usually the most commonly used color for the kitchen is white. It gives a sense of cleanness and it’s also neutral and versatile. A kitchen also needs to be bright and airy and the white is perfect for that. However, there are other colors that be used successfully. One of them is black. Even though it doesn’t seem like a very friendly color or one suited for the kitchen, you might be surprised how well it works.

This kitchen recently got a makeover. It was turned into a more modern space and it also got new colors. Originally, the kitchen had wooden furniture combined with white countertops and fixtures. After the renovation, the change was dramatic. The kitchen now features black cabinets. Even more surprising is the fact that the cabinets are actually the same ones as before. They just got a new color and a fresh look. It’s an easy and inexpensive way of changing the décor but not actually changing the furniture.

Since the kitchen has large windows, the change of color didn’t affect it too much. It’s still a bright and airy space. Also, even though the furniture used is the same, the internal structure has changed. There was re configuration and the kitchen became more functional and it even seems larger now. The work areas got bigger and more practical and the overall look is fresh, elegant and modern.{found on hisugarplum}.
