Chair from a solid wood with a handwoven seat

More and more new things are heading towards new materials and techniques but still there are amazing brand new pieces that are made using traditional materials that look astonishing even in these modern times we’re living. To support my theory I bring to you these chairs made by the famous designer John Vogel.

He was inspired by the local woven and crafting techniques and decided to make something like a tribute to those fine crafts therefore making them even more appreciated and well known around the world. The marvelous wooden frame has a nice chocolate stain to conquer your from the first time you look at it. The round backrest assures a comfortable sensation along with probably the most important piece- the hand woven synthetic seat. This choice sounded more appealing because in that way the chairs are more durable, easy to clean and the aging process doesn’t affect them at all. The chair costs around 277 EUR and it measures 21”W x 21.5”D x 30.6”H.

As we can see it has about the perfect dimensions for a comfortable experience without forgetting the price and the looks.  There are only two color schemes and for some this may be a disadvantage but painted any other way it wouldn’t fit the designers view.  So if you like a durable stylish chair that is made after very old crafting techniques this is the right thing for you. Check it out for yourself and let us know how it feels in the right interior.
